The Fixx - Going Overboard was recorded during the Reach The Beach sessions. Reach The Beach had an aquatic theme and Going Overboard was desinged to fit with that theme. It was eventually decided that including Going Overboard on Reach The Beach would in itself have been going overboard. Sorry, but that pun is coincedental. Going Overboard was first officially released on the B-Side of Saved By Zero. It's first appearnce on a CD was a live version recorded by the King Biscuit Flower Hour at My Father's Place in New York. The Fixx In Concert was released February 27, 1996. The studio recording of Going Overboard was eventually released on CD with the issue The Fixx - Ultimate Collection from November 9, 1999.
