The Artist - Eiffel 65

The Song - Lucky (In My Life)

In January of 2001, Sight N Sound .org was pleased to feature "Blue" by Italian techno-pop stars Eiffel 65 as the Sound File of the Month. Consequently, "Blue" has been the #1 most downloaded Sound File of the Month at Sight N Sound.org. Without hesitation we present a gem from their second album titled "Contact". Lucky (In My Life) is equally captivating.

This is dance. It is music.

It is music to dance by. To dance to.

It's dancemusic. Make that, DanceMusic

When "Contact" by Eiffel 65 is played, anyone in earshot weill be in motion, moving. They may not be able to help it. Anyone. They. You. Have I mentioned this CD has a groove?

There are numeroues audible influences in the constructs of this collection of 17 songs. They are too numerous to name, though they're commendable influences, and rather than list just a few and not others, let's leave it at saying all of the names of these artists have been highly succesfully accepted worldwide, some among the highest-paid performers in the entertainment world.

Yet, Eiffel 65 have managed in this day of generic-mesh to attain a sound of thier own along with a distinct and memorable name to boot. Even some of their lyrics may instigate discussion. Not, of course, while youre dancing. And not right away afterward, becase there'll be exhaustion, from dancing, and staggered efforts toward the waterfaucet, where much replenishment promises.

This reviewer imagines that anyone reliant on sleep-enhancers may notice a dip-not a dance referential-in their consumption need, once they've discovered the benifits of listening to and dancing with Eiffel 65. "Contact!" Compels people to dance. Furiously. Endlessly. Then theyll be out. Logsaws.

Unless of course, theyre still in, Dancing!
